Dr. Tsung-Yu Pan, President
Dr. Pan has over 25 years of industrial experience with advanced research and engineering on metallurgy, metals, plastics, solid-state joining, welding, brazing and soldering technologies. He has been retained as a consultant to Oak Ridge National Laboratory in various manufacturing technologies and materials developments related especially to the automotive industry. He holds four U.S. patents, over 80 peer-reviewed publications. He received his Ph.D. in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from The University of Michigan.
Mr. Allen D. Roche, Vice President
Prior to joining Ford, Allen was instrumental in setting up a small R&D company in the United Kingdom that specialized in advanced material development based on spray forming technology. He later managed the Rapid Tooling laboratory at Ford Motor Company. Allen has extensive process and advanced material development experience stretching over 20 years.
Dr. Michael L. Santella, Chief Metallurgist
Dr. Santella has over 30 years of materials R&D experience related to process and materials development and modeling. He has worked extensively on metallurgical issues related to the effects of processing and elevated temperatures on ferritic and austenitic steels, nickel alloys, aluminum alloys and magnesium alloys. The emphasis of his experience has been on relating mechanical behavior to microstructure, processing, and environmental exposure. Dr. Santella holds 15 U.S. patents and has an extensive publication record. He received his Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He is a fellow of American Welding Society.
